When Nancy and I got to Ecuador in July, there was talk that the Quito Connection guesthouse might close. Well… that day has come. We hosted our last guest on Saturday and today our fire sale has begun. Other Reach Beyond ministry leaders have begun to come through the house and take the things that can be repurposed for their area of ministry. Later in the week we’ll open things up for other missionaries and ministries in town to purchase.
We have loved our time here, with our missionaries, with the guests and the time in our second home. So closing down and selling everything is a bit sad. Still, I’m excited about the chance for our radio partners at HCJB to have a space to call their own.
We’re selling things this week. We’ll make one more quick trip to see our folks in Shell next week. Then head back to the U.S. May 10. We’ll be five days home then head off to visit our Europe Eurasia team at a conference in the UK. We’d love your prayers for these next few weeks of goodbyes and transition.
Finally, we had a blast with our kids a few weeks ago. In the attached family pic, from left to right, it’s Marcus, Jeff, Nancy, Brittney, Kelsie and Andrew. It was so good to have the four of them here and some time to run around the country and play. It made this daddy’s heart happy. Hope you enjoy a few photos.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
