Pastor Greg and his family came to us in the summer of 2000. Greg and his wife Gloria moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio. Pastor Greg received his calling to ministry and left a successful career in business management to fulfill that call. He possesses an urgent desire to teach God’s Word clearly showing it’s relevance and necessity for living in today’s world. He also maintains a great passion for Jesus Christ, believes impossible things can be accomplished through prayer, and has a deep desire to see people enter into a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.

On the lighter side, Pastor Greg loves the outdoors and holds a great admiration for all of God’s creation. His favorite pastimes include photography; fly fishing, SUV four wheeling on mountain trails and hunting.

Sheri Tesar

Sheri joined the GrandView staff as the Director of Worship Arts in 2016. Sheri believes that music is an incredible gift from God that allows His people to respond to His sacrificial love and mercy towards us with all of our will, our emotions, our intellect, and our physical bodies (Mark 12:30). The corporate worship gathering should be an overflow of the personal worship time each individual believer spends with God during the week as we seek to honor Him in all that we do (Col. 3:17). The goal of corporate worship is to encounter God and leave changed and encouraged, ready to go out into the world to serve Him, doing the good works He has prepared for us to do (Eph. 2:10).

Sheri earned an M.A. in Worship Studies from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois in 2014 and a B.S. in Worship Arts from Dallas Christian College in Dallas, Texas in 2011. She was ordained into Christian Ministry in 2014. She is a songwriter, has written articles for Worship Leader Magazine and the Arise! blog on CBE International. You can read more about Sheri’s views on worship and her reflections on Scripture via her blog.

Sheri has been married to her husband Chris for over 25 years. They have four children:  Sabrina, a college senior; Zachary, a high school senior; Jenna, a high school freshman; and Kindra, a 7th grader.

In her spare time she enjoys making cards, candles, lotions, sugar scrubs, hiking and biking.  Her passion is to help and serve other people.

God has blessed Vickie with His children to teach and show them how to have a relationship with the Lord.  She, along with the kids, have a lot of fun learning and serving God on Wednesdays and Sundays.  She would love to meet you and have your children join in the fun!

Chris and Lisa Trickett

Chris, and wife Lisa came to us from Rosharon, TX where Chris was the Youth Director at the First Baptist Church in Rosharon.  God has been building Chris up and molding him for youth ministry since leading worship at Young Life back in the spring of 2003.

Chris’ process for this comes from Psalm 119:9 and Matthew 28:19.  We are all called to make disciples.  There is no way to do that without the Word of God.  Our responsibility as disciple-makers extends no further than building relationships, teaching the Word, and modeling the life of a follower of Jesus.

Chris was raised in a God-fearing home by parents that loved the Lord and taught him in biblical ways.  On the way to his family’s hunting lease, his mother and sister shared the Gospel with him in their family van.  He crawled to the rear of the van and prayed that Jesus would enter his heart…..about 10 times just to make sure.

Chris enjoys ultimate Frisbee, singing/playing guitar; backpacking, and cooking with Lisa.

Elaine Plante

Elaine and her husband Don began attending GrandView Community Church in 1993 just a few months before they were married.  They have been blessed since then with a precious daughter whose name is Katie.  Prior to becoming a mother, Elaine was employed for ten years at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs where she worked in the Accounting department.

She began as treasurer at GrandView in 1998.  She stepped out of the position for three years, but then resumed that same role again in 2014.  Elaine is a stay-at-home mom who enjoys homeschooling her daughter, gardening, hiking, and playing the piano.

The GrandView Council of Elders

GrandView uses the New Testament model of leadership by electing elders as overseers of the business matters and ministry endeavors of the church. Elders are elected by the general assembly from the congregation and can serve 2–3 year term. The Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month.  Our church staff also meets with the Council of Elders during this time.
